Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how DiskQ ("DiskQ", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the DiskQ mobile application and related support pages.
Information You Choose to Provide
If you contact support, you may choose to provide your email address, message content, screenshots, device details, purchase details, or other information needed to respond to your request. Do not send sensitive photos, videos, passwords, financial information, or other private content unless it is strictly necessary for your support request.
Photos, Videos, and Local Files
DiskQ may request access to your photo library so that you can scan, review, save, enhance, clean, delete, move, or protect media through app features. Photos and videos selected for Recovery, Vault, Restore, Cleaner, or similar features are handled on your device unless a specific feature clearly tells you otherwise.
Vault files, recovery files, restored photos, PIN settings, hints, and related local app preferences are stored locally on your device. We cannot see the contents of your private Vault from our servers. If you delete the app, clear app data, lose your device, forget your PIN, or modify files outside the app, your local content may be permanently lost.
Permissions
DiskQ may ask for photo library permissions, add-only photo permissions, Face ID or device settings guidance, and other permissions required for app functionality. You can change permissions in iOS Settings. Some features may not work without the required permission.
Purchases and Subscriptions
DiskQ may offer premium access through Apple in-app purchases or auto-renewable subscriptions. Purchases, subscription status, receipts, refunds, billing, cancellations, and payment processing are handled by Apple and may also be processed through subscription infrastructure providers such as Adapty. We do not receive your full payment card number from Apple.
Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services to support purchases, entitlement checks, support, hosting, diagnostics, or app operations. These providers may process limited technical, purchase, device, or usage information as needed to provide their services. We expect third parties that process user data for DiskQ to protect that data consistently with this Policy and applicable law.
Analytics, Diagnostics, and Device Information
The app or platform services may process limited technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, crash information, diagnostics, purchase entitlement state, or coarse usage events. This information may be used to maintain app functionality, troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, prevent misuse, and manage subscriptions.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate DiskQ, provide requested features, process subscriptions, restore purchases, answer support requests, improve reliability, protect against misuse, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our terms.
Legal Bases Where Applicable
Where privacy laws require a legal basis, we process information based on performance of a contract, your consent, our legitimate interests, legal obligations, and the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent where allowed by law, but withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the app, process subscriptions, provide support, improve reliability, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.
Data Retention
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Support messages may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce our rights, or comply with legal obligations. Purchase and subscription records may be retained by Apple, Adapty, or other service providers according to their own policies and legal requirements.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, object to, or restrict certain processing of personal information. You may also have a right to appeal a decision or complain to a privacy authority. These rights may be limited by law, identity verification, security requirements, technical feasibility, protection of others' rights, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal recordkeeping obligations.
Deletion and Consent Withdrawal
You may revoke photo permissions in iOS Settings. You may delete local files in the app, clear app data where available, or uninstall the app. For support data or privacy requests, contact us at diskqaiapp@pm.me. We may need to verify your request and may retain information where required or permitted by law.
Cookies, SDKs, and Local Technologies
DiskQ and related pages may use app SDKs, local storage, cookies, or similar technologies for subscriptions, fraud prevention, diagnostics, analytics, preferences, security, hosting, and service reliability. Device, browser, or iOS settings may let you limit some technologies, but certain features may stop working correctly.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. No app, device, storage method, or transmission method is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining device security, iCloud or device backups, passcodes, Apple ID access, and any credentials used with your device.
Children
DiskQ is not intended for children under 13 or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
International Use
DiskQ may be used in different countries. Data may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. Privacy laws may vary by jurisdiction.
Region-Specific Notices
Users in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, California, and other regions may have additional privacy rights under local law. We will honor applicable rights subject to verification and legal exceptions. Where required, you may contact your local data protection authority or use available statutory appeal rights.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of DiskQ after an update means you accept the updated Policy to the extent permitted by law.
